WHY IS HIS DARK MATERIALS CLASSIFIED AS A KID’S BOOK. Stardust is just so quintessentially a mixture of fairy tales and Victorian…

I didn’t ever read those… A large majority of my childhood was dedicated to Harry Potter and I went through a couple of years (around, 7-10) where I refused to read anything else because I thought I was “cheating” on Harry Potter. I didn’t really start reading a lot until the year before the 7th Harry Potter book came out.

Really?! How did you come up with that idea? Not judging, just curious!

I read Harry Potter of course but finished them so soon that I had to read other things (and also I wasn’t allowed to watch TV). I pretty much constantly had my nose in a book from age seven onwards :)

I actually have no idea…. I feel like it stemmed from competition within my class at school to be the biggest Harry Potter Know-it-All.

I was allowed to watch very little TV as a child too! I had a Waldorf education… So I read a lot as a kid as well.

I know… Anne and Gilber were my first OTP though I didn’t know it!

miss-rumphius asked: Anne of Green Gables, The Giver, 84 Charing Cross Road
